Games & Distractions

"Time is a game played beautifully by children" -Heraclitus

I wrote these while learning web development -
think of them as crayon masterpieces stuck to the refrigerator.

This humorous look at our president's first 100 days in office
is powered by Django with a SQLite back end.

This is my original timeline of Donald Trump's first days in office.
Each day is accompanied by embedded YouTube videos
from that evening's comic relief - specifically:
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah (Comedy Central)
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (CBS)
Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC)
I wrote this in HTML and CSS - no Bootstrap or JavaScript - which means that everything you see is hardcoded into the page. The newer version (available here) uses a real database (SQLite) and framework (Django).

This was written almost entirely in JavaScript.
In fact, the html file has only 30 lines of code.
At this point, the game only functions as a blank slate.
Down the road I'll figure out how to offer preset games, and a solver.
NOTE: this version is not optimized for Internet Explorer.
Use the second link for an IE-friendly game.

UPDATE: v2.0 has no jQuery!
I figured out how to write a deep copy without it.

Like Sudoku, this is almost entirely JavaScript -
only this time I let jQuery handle the for loops.
